THE LIONS are reportedly interested in signing West Ham's promising wing-back Emmanuel Longelo.

Longelo graduated through the Hammers’ youth system and made his first-team debut for the club last season. The 21-year-old made appearances in the Europa League and Carabao Cup.

In terms of the Premier League 2, Longelo impressed making 18 appearances scoring one goal and assisting five more.

However, with Aaron Cresswell and Arthur Masuaku still in the Hammers squad as well as reports suggesting that the club is interested in signing a new left-back, Longelo will be far down the pecking order at the London Stadium next season.

According to The Sun, Millwall are joined by new Premier League side AFC Bournemouth with holding an interest in the youngster.

Nottingham Forest were believed to want to sign Longelo in January, but since earning promotion to the Premier League they have moved on to new targets.

Gary Rowett’s side need back-up in the position in order to provide Scott Malone competition for his spot as they look to challenge for promotion next season.

A deal for Longelo would be one of few between the Hammers and the Lions as the clubs have a big rivalry dating back to the 1920s.
