FORMER Addicks midfielder Joe Aribo could be in with a summer move to the Premier League with Crystal Palace and Aston Villa reportedly interested in signing him.

Aribo is entering the final 12 months of his contract at the Ibox and could be available on a cut-price deal.

Rangers will be keen to keep hold of the midfielder but will want to risk losing him for nothing in the summer of 2023.

The Sun has claimed that both Palace and Villa are in the running for the 25-year-old and have suggested he could be signed for less than £10 million.

Aribo has impressed this season making 55 appearances in all competitions, scoring eight goals and assisting ten more. He has also been a big factor in the club's run to the Europa League final.

Villa manager Steven Gerrard knows Aribo well from his time as Rangers manager as the pair won the SPL title in 2021.

During his time at Charlton, Aribo helped the club win promotion to the Championship before running his contract down and moving to the Scottish giants in 2019.

If Aribo plans to do the same with his Rangers contract then it could be a frustrating summer for Palace and Villa.

Palace manager Patrick Vieira could want to sign Aribo as a replacement for Conor Gallagher, who will be returning to Chelsea once his loan expires at the end of the season.

Whereas Villa could see the box-to-box midfielder as a cheaper alternative to Brighton's Yves Bissouma, who the Midlands club tried to sign in January.
