EVERTON centre-back Yerry Mina will likely miss the club's match against Crystal Palace due to a calf injury.

The Colombia international was forced off in Sunday’s win at Leicester which lifted the club out of the bottom three.

Everton have three crucial games at Watford, on Wednesday, and back-to-back home fixtures against Brentford and Patrick Vieira's Crystal Palace before heading to Arsenal on May 22.

“Yerry has a small injury in his calf and so won’t be playing,” said manager Frank Lampard.

“We’re probably looking towards the last game that he’ll be available for.”

In the three matches Mina has played since returning from a thigh problem, which kept him out for over two months, the relegation-threatened club have taken a vital seven points – although he was only on the field for 18 minutes at the King Power Stadium at the weekend.

Everton still won the game, which lifted the club to 16th place in the Premier League table one point above Leeds in 18th place.

Without Mina, Everton slipped down the league and into real danger of being relegated.

Therefore Palace will likely face a weaker Toffees defence, which could allow attackers such as Wilfried Zaha, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Michael Olise an enjoyable afternoon.
