IS HISTORY being made this year? Could we see Millwall grace the Premiership realms at the end of the season for the first-ever time in the club’s history? Only time will tell I guess.

Following their recent defeat against Swansea however, they then made amends and churned out an emphatic display against Barnsley, winning 4-0.

A draw last time out against Preston has left the club three points off the playoff spots.

Gary Rowett expressed to the BBC: “We’re going to have to put a run together, quite simply. There’s no other way of looking at it. We’re probably going to have to win two more games than a lot of other sides.

“I think we’ve been in this position probably every season. It’s not easy to take the next step but I think what’s important is the players give everything they’ve got to try.”

What is, abundantly, clear is that the players are fighting for one another on the pitch and are unified in their quest for glory.

There seems to be no weaknesses in the squad and communication on the pitch is obvious throughout.

They are perched in a wonderful position as four of their last five matches are against teams that are below them so, on paper, they should achieve victory.

It is only AFC Bournemouth that will give them a difficult test and stand in their path to reaching the play-offs as they lay in second in the Championship, currently.

Millwall need to treat every fixture like a cup game if they are to find success and silence the critics.
