MILLWALL are targeting the signing of Derby County's promising youngster Louie Sibley.

It is believed that Millwall boss Gary Rowett is after an attacking midfielder during the January transfer window.

This is because of the doubt over Jed Wallace's future. Wallace has been linked with a move away from the Den with Nottingham Forest tipped for his signature.

According to the Telegraph, Sibley is a top target for the Lions.

Rowett will know the 20-year-old during his time at the Midlands club.

Millwall could take advantage of Derby's financial woes as they are currently in administration.

Derby have reportedly rejected one bid but could entertain a second with a higher value.

Sibley already has plenty of Championship experience for his age as he made his first-team debut at just 18.

He has struggled to set the world alight considering his early promise but off-field distraction could be a contributing factor.

Sibley has only scored two goals in the last two campaigns and is yet to register a goal or an assist this season.

His last played for Derby in their match against Millwall in November.
