MILLWALL manager Gary Rowett has played down reports that Matt Smith is set to join League One side Wigan.
The 32-year-old has started just seven games this season for the Lions, starting seven games and scoring twice.
It was reported that he was leaving the club with the Latics vying for his signature.
However, boss Rowett refuted claims that the striker is leaving the club.

After the 2-1 FA Cup loss to Crystal Palace, Rowett was asked if there was any truth in the story, he said: “Not really.
“I’ve heard people talking about it at other clubs, which seems a little bit bizarre.
“There’s nothing as far as I’m aware in that story.”
