Barnet have sacked manager Peter Beadle after a 6-0 defeat to Chesterfield on Saturday.

The defeat was the final straw for Beadle who led a side from last season's playoffs to a run of nine games without a victory in all competitions.

A statement released by the club yesterday said they would be looking to make a swift appointment following his departure.

It reads: "Barnet Football Club can confirm that they have today (December 13th) parted company with manager Peter Beadle.

The Club would like to place on record it’s gratitude and thanks to Peter for all of his hard work during what has been a tough period for the Club. Peter is very much someone who will always be welcome at The Hive London and we wish him well for the future.

We will now look to make a swift appointment and the search for a new manager will begin immediately. We will provide a further update when this process has concluded.

The Club will make no further comment at this time. "
