Here's how the Brentford players rated in their 2-1 win over QPR.

David Raya 7

Looked solid in the air and comfortable with ball at feet. Little he could do for the opener.

Rico Henry 8

Overlapped Fosu frequently down the left and was patient in setting Janelt up for the opener. His thirst to join the attack was the undoing for Ranger’ equaliser as he was caught upfield when Oayi-Samuel broke. That said, he was the saviour on a number of occasions as QPR looked to break.

This Is Local London:

Henrik Dalsgaard 5

Found it difficult against the tricky Ilias Chair in the opening 45 and the matchday skipper was replaced at the break.

Ethan Pinnock 7

Survived one moment of hesitancy in the first half which almost gifted the visitors’ sight at goal. Moved to right back second half, rarely ventured forward but subdued the lively Chair.

Mads Bech Sorensen 6

A little erratic in the opening half and could’ve seen red for his foul on Lyndon Dykes shortly before the break. Composed himself well in the second 45 and looked calm next to Pontus Jansson.

Vitaly Janelt 8

Looked at ease in the middle of the park, shielding the back four making a number of crucial interceptions. Expertly took his goal and growing into this side.

Emiliano Marcondes 6

A fine delivery for Toney’s header but all too often his final ball is lacking. Did a lot of dirty work in the middle, showing a side to his game many aren’t familiar with.

Josh Dasilva 4

Marshalled out of the game by a relentless QPR midfield. Hooked at the break.

Bryan Mbeumo 7

Still finding his form after the bout of Covid earlier this year but starting to show glimpses of the mercurial talent we saw last season.

Tariqe Fosu 6

Looked lightweight against a robust QPR side but endeavoured down the left and dovetailed well with Henry going forward. Needs to add more end product in this division to stand out.

Ivan Toney 8

Quiet first half but proved his worth with an all action display in the second. His hold up play has gone to another level and he’s turning into a leader in this Bees side.

SUBS:

Mathias Jensen 7

Got on the ball in the middle of the park, something that was missing in the opening 45.

Pontus Jansson 7

Dealt with Lyndon Dykes aerial threat well and injected confidence into the Bees.

Marcus Forss n/a

Won his fair share of aerial duels an seems to be a good foil for Toney up top.

Sergi Canos n/a

Saman Ghoddos n/a
