Michael Oliver will be the referee for Watford's home game with Liverpool in this Saturday's late kick-off at Vicarage Road.

The official has been in charge of two games involving the Hornets so far this season, including Quique Sanchez Flores' final game as head coach in the 2-1 defeat at Southampton and the goalless draw with Tottenham at home, in which he awarded a penalty, only for Troy Deeney to be denied by Paolo Gazzaniga.

Oliver also refereed the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley last season when Watford came from behind to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-2 in extra-time.

This will be the sixth time he has refereed Liverpool this season, after taking charge of home wins against Norwich and Manchester City and away victories over Chelsea, Leicester and Wolves.

He will be assisted on Saturday by Stuart Burt and Simon Bennett, while Jonathan Moss will be fourth official.

Video Assistant Referee duties will be carried out by Mike Dean, who will be assisted by Darren Cann.
