Here’s how the Millwall players rated in their 1-1 draw with Fulham.

Bartosz Bialkowksi 7

Little to do first half other than pick the ball out the net such was the Lions’ dominance.

Mahlon Romeo 8

Could’ve been mistaken for a right forward such was the frequency he was in the Fulham final third in the first half. Pinned the usually attacking Joe Bryan deep in his own half and got the better of his opponent. His deliveries had purpose and menace, and showed composure to win a penalty. Great display.

Murray Wallace 8

Similar to his teammate on the other flank, he pinned Denis Odoi right back. One ball to set his namesake Jed through was exquisite. Defensively he had the better of Aboubakar Kamara too.

Jake Cooper 7

To the left of a defensive trio, he stepped in and intercepted at the right moment time and time again. Imperious in the air and showed neat footwork going forward.

Alex Pearce 7

There’s not a person in the stands that doesn’t recognise the captain’s voice such is the frequency he’s barking orders. What he lacks in pace he makes up for in positioning. That said, between him and Hutch, Fulham’s opener was a little too easy. He’ll be disappointed to concede from a set-piece.

This Is Local London:

Shaun Hutchinson 9

Outstanding. Kept the usually busy Bobby Decordova-Reid subdued throughout which is no mean feat. Won every tackle and found himself driving up the field late in the game. On the ball he would’ve surprised many as well.

Jayson Molumby 8

Does a lot of the stuff that doesn’t catch the eye. Dovetailed well with Woods in the middle and added an energy in chasing down the Fulham midfield. On the ball he was neat and tidy and looked for those who can create to do just that. Tired in the second half.

Ryan Woods 9

Superb. Showcased a range of passing that few knew he had. Seemed to be first and second to every ball across the middle. Switched play with ease and did so without looking like he got out of second gear. Sat in front of the back four and stopped the supply to the dangerous Mitrovic. Took a crucial yellow for the team early in the contest.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson 7

Doesn’t have the speed or the trickery to get past defenders but has a knack to be in the right place at the right time, even if it is an off-side position. His endless running put the Fulham backline under all sorts of pressure and won the Lions a number of pressure-relieving throw-ins up the park.

Tom Bradshaw 7

Guilty of giving the ball away too often. His carelessness cost Woods a booking. Didn’t have much in the way of chances at goal, and the one he had late in the second half  he drew a neat save from Marek Rodak. Vital to the ‘new’ way the Lions play however with his running into the channels, creating space for Jed and Bod to exploit.

Jed Wallace 6

Early season performances may have got fans expecting too much from him, and in return he’s trying too hard. Guilty of making the wrong decision when in a threatening position and ‘going it alone’ when it’s not needed. Any penalty that misses the target is a poor penalty, and he won’t need reminding of that. Deliveries were on point as always but it’s his composure when it really mattered that was lacking.

Subs:

Ryan Leonard  7

Got in amongst it straight away. Did what was asked of him in the centre of the park.
