Millwall and Charlton will put footballing rivalries aside this weekend as they pay tribute to two victims of knife crime.

Both sets of fans will take part in the ‘Together for Ten’ march, a 10-mile pre-match walk from Sidcup Station to The Den in a show of solidarity and memorial for Jimmy Mizen and Rob Knox who were both murdered.

Saturday’s encounter at The Den will be known as ‘Jimmy’s Day,’ an annual event dedicated to murdered Lions fan Jimmy Mizen who was killed in Lee Green, South East London in 2008 at the age of 16.

Charlton fan Rob Knox was also stabbed to death in 2008, outisde a bar in Sidcup at the age of 18 and will also be remembered on Saturday.

Money raised from the walk will be split between charities ‘For Jimmy’ and the Charlton Athletic Community Trust.

Players will wear special warm-up t-shirts dedicated to the cause while Jimmy’s father, Barry Mizen, will be addressing the crowd prior to kick-off.

Anyone wishing to take part in the ‘Together For Ten’ pre-match walk it begins at Sidcup Station at 9am with others able to join en route at Deptford Park around 12:30.
