Leyton Orient have signed midfielder George Marsh on loan from Tottenham Hotspur until January.

Marsh made four first-team appearances for Spurs during their pre-season matches for the 2019/20 season and becomes Orient’s fifth signing of the summer after Josh Wright, Lee Angol, Conor Wilkinson and Louis Dennis.

He also made four appearances for the Spurs under-21 team in last season’s Checkatrade Trophy (now the Leasing.com Trophy) and made his senior debut in an FA Cup tie against Tranmere Rovers.

Speaking to the club website, Orient interim head coach Ross Embleton said: “I’ve been quoted before saying that any young players we bring in on loan, especially on their first loan experience, it is really important that we get the right character and a player suited to the level of football they are coming in to.

“George and the way he is and the level of intensity in how he works certainly gives him the opportunity to make this a successful loan period for him and make a big impression on us”
