Crystal Palace are preparing a player-plus-cash offer for Brentford attacker Ollie Watkins.

The Bees forwards has attracted interest from a host of Premiership clubs but Palace look set to be first to show their hand according to sources.

Former Exeter star Watkins moved to Griffin Park in 2017 for £1.8million and has scored 20 goals in 86 league appearances.

Palace are to offer cash, around £5million plus striker Alexander Sorloth.

This Is Local London:

The Dane has struggled to settle at Selhurst Park since his £9million move and was loaned out to Genk for the second half of last season.

Speculation grew that Sorloth would be departing SE25 after the 23-year-old was left out of the Eagles pre-season friendly at AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday.

This Is Local London:

Tottenham and Arsenal were rumoured to be mulling over a raid on the West London outfit for Watkins in January, with Southampton, Aston Villa and Bournemouth most recently linked, but Roy Hodgson now looks set to swoop.

With Wilfried Zaha's future up in the air amid bids from Arsenal and Everton, Watkins could fill the void should the Ivorian depart.
