Leyton Orient continued their good start to pre-season with a 2-2 draw against Championship side Hull City at the Marbella Football Center.

The match formed part of Orient’s pre-season training camp in Spain and despite twice falling behind to goals from Reece Burke and Keane Lewis-Potter, they secured a draw with equalisers from Dale Gorman and Josh Coulson.

Much like Saturday’s friendly against Harlow Town, the O’s fielded two sides in either half with a blend of youth and experience, with Craig Clay donning the captain’s armband in the first half before Coulson’s introduction at the break.

Hull took the lead midway through the half when Jarrod Bowen’s corner fell to Burke to fire past Arthur Janata.

Twelve minutes later, Orient drew level though when James Brophy went down on the edge of the area, and Gorman crashed the free-kick into the roof of the net from 25 yards.

Embleton made eight changes at the interval, with only James Alabi, Shadrach Ogie and Ruel Sotiriou staying on.

The Championship side regained the lead on 58 minutes when Lewis-Potter found some space in the box and converted Brandon Fleming’s cross past Sam Sargeant.

Orient’s perseverance paid dividends again however, drawing level as Coulson powered Jordan Maguire-Drew’s corner past George Long.

The O’s saw out the final 10 minutes with 10 men after Josh Wright picked up a knock, but they held out to claim a draw and remain unbeaten in pre-season.
