Milllwall target Bartosz Bialkowski returned to pre-season training with Ipswich on Monday.

The Polish goalkeeper’s switch to The Den remains under negotiation despite completing a medical with the Lions last week.

A fee, believed to be around £1.5million had been agreed but sources say personal terms have yet to be ironed out.

Despite admitting he loves life in Suffolk, the former Notts County man is expected to complete the deal to South London in the next few days.

The move is seen as a priority for Neil Harris’ Millwall who currently have no recognised goalkeepers on their books following the departures of Jordan Archer, Ben Amos and Dave Martin earlier this summer.

A move away also suits the Tractor Boys as Bilakowski, 31, who won three back-to-back Supporters Player of The Year Award, remains a high earner at the club despite seeing a pay reduction clause in his contract following relegation to League One.

Having been at Portman Road since 2014 the one-cap Polish international is eager to stay in the Championship in order to force his way back in to the international set-up.
