Leyton Orient were forced to move fans’ tributes to late head coach Justin Edinburgh inside the ground after some items were stolen, it is understood.
Orient confirmed this morning that non-flower items were to be moved inside to accompany the tributes left in the dugout after items were taken from the area outside the club’s offices at the ground.
On their Twitter account, the club said: “In order to protect non-flower items which have been left in Justin Edinburgh’s honour, we have moved them all to the dugout.
“The stadium continues to be open for people to pay their respects.”
Edinburgh passed away on Saturday after suffering a cardiac arrest last Monday just six weeks after guiding Orient back to the Football League by winning the National League title.
Fans gathered at the ground on Sunday to lay tributes to the man who secured the club’s first league title in 49 years, with a framed photo of Edinburgh placed on his seat in the dugout.
