Crystal Palace’s Andros Townsend has won the Premier League Goal of the Season for his strike against Manchester City.
His sublime 30-yard volley against the newly crowned league champions came in the Eagles 3-2 victory at The Etihad in December.
The goal was awarded Goal of the Month which made his strike eligible for the Carling-sponsored end of season award.
The award was voted for by public vote and a panel of footballing experts who deemed the 27-year-olds effort superior to Vincent Kompany’s strike against Leicester, Eden Hazards solo goal against West Ham, and Son Heung-Min’s individual piece of brilliance against Chelsea.

Controversially his strike was not named Match of the Day's Goal of the Season by pundits Alan Shearer and Ian Wright.
Despite a public vote putting Townsend's effort top, the pair over ruled the decision and gave it to Kompany's effort, deeming it of bigger importance.
