Leyton Orient were recognised for their stunning season at the National Game Awards last night.
The event, held at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge, aims to recognise the achievements of non-league players and clubs throughout the season.
The O’s were first awarded the Red Insure Team of the Year in acknowledgement to their record-breaking season – the side having clinched the National League title and made it through to the final of the FA Trophy, to be played this Sunday.
Defender Josh Coulson was awarded the Mark Harrod Player of the Year award after producing fine displays throughout the season which helped Orient keep 19 clean sheets. The centre-back also pitched in with seven goals.
Finally, head coach Justin Edinburgh was recognised after winning Field Turf’s Manager of the Year after a campaign in which he has taken the O’s to the brink of a domestic double for the first time in their history
