Scott Dann has given a realistic assessment of the transfer rumours surrounding two of Palace’s star performers.

Manchester United are the latest of a number of clubs who are thought to be fancying moves for Wilfried Zaha and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and the defender believes these rumours will continue.

Both played their part in the Eagles 2-0 win over Huddersfield at the weekend with Wan-Bissaka in particular coming in for praise.

Dann, who played alongside the pair in the victory that condemned the Terriers to second tier football next season, gave an honest reaction to the speculation.

'Both Top Players'

This Is Local London:

“They are both top, top players” he said.

“They are performing at a very high level so it (speculation) is never going to go away.

“Whether in the future they stay or move on, who knows?!

“I mean for a club like us it is always important [to keep your best players].

“But at the same time when you play at the level they (Zaha and Wan-Bissaka) play at week in, week out, you can’t help those conversations or rumours coming about.

“But while they are here, and they are performing the way they are, obviously we would love to keep them for as long as possible.”

United Interest

There are a host of clubs chasing Wan-Bissaka but it seems United are the front runners with a bid of £35million being ready for the right-back they see as Antonio Valencia’s long-term successor.

It’s thought that new Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also keen to be re-acquainted with Zaha with whom he worked with at Cardiff City.

As well as United, Tottenham, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund have been mooted destinations for the wide-man, and with Palace Chairman Steve Parish looking to finance the building of a new stand at Selhurst Park, the £65million+ fee for Zaha may be too much to turn down.

Palace travel to Tottenham’s new ground on Wednesday.
