Lyle Taylor knows what he must do against Burton to avoid a two-match ban.

The forward needs to avoid picking up his tenth yellow card of the season in Tuesday’s fixture or face the suspension.

Taylor has recently returned to action for the Addicks after serving a three-match ban and the 28-year-old is eager not to spend more time on the side lines.

“I can’t go around kicking people like I like to!” Taylor joked.

“I’ve got one more to get through, let’s not jinx it and I will be on my best behaviour, and as Keith Peacock said- ‘deep breaths.’”

Taylor proved to be Saturday’s match-winner on the televised 2-1 win over Portsmouth at The Valley and believes another similar showing against 11th placed Burton is required.

“If you can’t come off the back of a game live on Sky buzzing, when are you ever going to be buzzing?!

“It’ll be a bit different but we need the same intensity.

“If we do that, then there’s not many teams that can cope with us.

“Pompey run over teams, but when we got the ball we dominated it and outplayed them.

“We have to do that again on Tuesday knowing it won’t be an easy one.”

Kick off is at 7:45pm
