Football is Joe Aribo’s only focus according to the midfielder amid on-going contract negotiations.
After his man of the match display in Charlton’s 2-1 win over Portsmouth, speculation over his future was the main talking point with his contract set to expire in the summer.
The 21-year-old who opened the scoring in the victory said he is not involved in discussions but is happy at the club.
“I don’t get involved in all of that stuff, I leave that to my agent and focus on my football because I’m enjoying it here,” said Aribo.
“Under Bows (Lee Bowyer) and Jacko (Johnnie Jackson) I’m learning everyday.
“They both played in my position, so even with timing runs into the box, playing fast football, two touch, I’m learning all the time.”
The midfielder feels like fans are now starting to see the best of him after spending two months out earlier this season with injury.
“I just wanted to get myself back in to things slowly and I feel like I’m getting stronger and stronger every game and feeling better.”
