It’s a case of two good-one bad for Lee Bowyer on Charlton’s injury front.
As he prepares his side to travel to Kingsmeadow on Saturday to face a AFC Wimbledon side buoyed by their last minute winner at Rochdale, there was good news for Chris Solly and Jake Forster-Caskey, but another blow for Lewis Page.
Long-term absentee Forster-Caskey has been sidelined for the whole season with a knee injury, but Bowyer was pleased to finally see light at the end the midfielder's injury-hit tunnel.
“He’s outdoors running, striking the ball, and working with the medical team,” said Bowyer.
“He’s still a way off working with us, but for me to see him training on the pitch next to us is a great sign because he’s an exceptional player.
“He’s been missed this season so you never know he might be back before the end of the season, which will be good for me and for him.”

Lewis Page
Left-back Page however, his injury woes seem to be a never-ending tale of bad luck.
Bowyer confirmed he’s had a hernia operation from which he’s no recovering, but as it seems with Charlton this season, a return from injury always has a set-back.
“With him it’s a case elimination. He had a tendon problem and groin problem. We’ve sorted out the groin problem now so now it’s about sorting out the tendon problem.
“If you’re asking me when he’s back?
"I’m only hoping it’s before the end of the season.”

Solly Good News
The second positive injury news was that of Solly.
The right-back remained on the bench for the goalless draw with Blackpool last weekend, but Bowyer insists it was a case of looking after the 28-year-old’s season-long ambitions.
“He has a lot of stuff going on with his knee.
“His knee is fine, he had an injection on it Monday, which is routine.
“But I’m looking at the bigger picture.
“I think he’s played a lot more games than he has in previous seasons so I’ve got to look after him.
“Bringing in Anfernee (Dijksteel) isn’t weakening our side, he’s an excellent full back, so I thought I’d let him rest and recharge his batteries.”
Charlton have drawn four of their last five matches as they travel to basement club AFC Wimbledon looking to re-ignite their play-off push.
