Neil Harris introduced Fred Onyedinma in the 83rd minute against Sheffield Wednesday and his cameo split opinion amongst fans.

The ten minutes the 22-year-old was on the pitch seemed to epitomise what you get from the Nigerian.

He dispossessed Liam Palmer on the touch line when he had no right to before a powerful run in to the box gave him sight of goal, only to be undone by treading on the ball and ending up face down on The Den turf.

As always, the Millwall manager was keen to point out the positives from his stint on the park but admitted Onyedinma is a frustrating figure.

“When Fred’s on the pitch we want to see that hustle and bustle, directness, pace,” said Harris.

“You saw the buzz in the place when he came on.

“Aiden (O’Brien) is the same, he'll go past two and have a shot or lays it off, other times he gets caught with the ball, that's the way they are.

'It'll be frustrating'

“With the way I brought them up they will be off the cuff, it'll be frustrating.

“I'm pleased for Fred to get out on the pitch, he had a successful loan out at Wycombe and it was touch and go if he would return in the window, but the minutes he got will give him the world of good.”

The Lions faithful have long been waiting for the attacker to make his first appearance since he returned from his Wycombe loan in January, and they got their wish when he entered the fray for Lee Gregory in the dull goalless draw.

Fans however were only left talking about his comedic miss-hap inside the Wednesday box as they took to Twitter to show their feelings towards the striker.
