Here's how the players rated from their 2-0 victory over Fulham.
Vicente Guaita
Had very little to do, very little at all. Took some high balls which would’ve done his confidence the world of good. 7
Aaron Wan-Bissaka
The right back lost one tackle. I think that’s the first of the season. He got a yellow for it. Was caught under the high balls a couple of times which should’ve been punished. Rarely got forward ahead of Townsend in front of him. 6
Patrick van Aanholt
Not the liveliest of games from the left back. Got forward when he could but his end product was found wanting. Made no mistakes at the back which is the main thing for Roy. 7

James Tomkins
Battled against Mitrovic all game, and I’d say he came off second best. The Serbian may not of found the net but at times he outmuscled the centre back at ease. Took a real whack in the second half. 6
Mamadou Sakho
Handled Mitrovic better than his defensive partner. It’s amazing watching Sakho, he never looks in control of his feet, but somehow he manages to put in some real commanding performances. 8
Luka Milivojevic
Seems to be enjoying playing next to McArthur and Schlupp. Has more freedom than when Kouyate is alongside him. Confidence and form flooding back to the skipper. Looked a man knowing he’d score from the spot. 7
James McArthur
Copy and paste from his last performance. Industrious as ever. Never grabs the headlines but you’d miss him if he wasn’t there. Unsung hero. 7
Jeffrey Schlupp
Looking a different player this season. Looks to be enjoying the midfield role. Provides energy and pace. Got into the box a number of times and deserved his goal. Commanding a regular starting berth now. 8
Andros Townsend
Not only is he out of Zaha’s shadow but he’s eclipsing the Ivorian. Playing like a man full of confidence should. Put in some wicked deliveries and provided the outlet when Fulham seized control in the second half. 7

Jordan Ayew
The arrival of Batshuayi seems to have kicked the forward up a gear. His best performance to date despite not scoring. Chased endlessly and dovetailed well with Benteke. The fans are warming to the work rate of the Ghanaian. Understandably looked annoyed to be hooked for Batsman. 8
Christian Benteke
Nearly scored a wonder-goal on his return to the starting line-up. His overhead kick crashed off the bar with some venom. Looked tired before his substitution. Offers a real focal point which the side has been crying out for. 7
Subs:
Max Meyer
Came on for Benteke and it seemed to backfire as Palace sat back. Didn’t get on the ball as much as he’d have liked but when he did he was neat and tidy as you’d expect. 6
Michy Batshuayi
Who everyone came to see. Looks a classy classy player. Some great footwork to get a shot off, denied the dream debut by Sergio Rico. 7
Bakary Sako
Provided some very dangerous crosses on what was a short stint on the wing. Fans love him. 6
