Millwall welcome Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn Rovers to The Den on Saturday as they look to get their fourth successive league win.

Neil Harris’ side sit six points above the relegation zone but are in good form ahead of the showdown with the side in 15th, six points above The Lions.

Blackburn finished 2018 poorly but have started 2019 in fine fettle following a 2-1 win over promotion favourites West Brom and a 1-1 draw with Newcastle in the league last weekend.

The sides played out a goalless draw earlier in the season at Ewood Park in a game Rovers heavily dominated.

Played in front of the live Sky Sports cameras both sides will be hoping for three points to maintain their excellent start to the year.

Star Man

Bradley Dack, 25, is a midfielder by trade but this season he’s found himself playing in a more advanced role.

He’s struck up an unlikely attacking partnership with veteran Danny Graham and both have delivered in the attacking third.

Dack has ten goals so far this season, largely thanks to the target man.

Having joined Blackburn from Braintree in the summer of 2017, the midfielder has established himself as a real threat for Rovers, notching 18 times as they achieved promotion from League One.

Whether he plays up top or in his preferred midfield position Ryan Leonard and co will need to be weary of the Rovers number 23.

The Manager

Tony Mowbray has made the transition from League One to Championship look seamless, but the manager is far from resting on his laurels.

“Coming out of League One and playing the teams we are now playing, it’s a big jump, with most of the same players.

“They are showing they are coping and are trying to improve, learn and get better every week.

“I think they have done amazing, I understand fans want to win every game yet we can’t be in too much of a rush.

“This team have done fantastic with what they have done so far and we’ll just try and keep progressing.”

His side endured a tough December where they registered just one win in seven, but seem to have turned the corner as they head to London eyeing a potential run towards the play-offs.

Asked what he expected at The Den the manager replied:

“If you’re not right at it against Millwall then you can get bullied.

“Millwall have been in good form at home and can beat anyone.

“We need to prepare properly for a tough trip and try and get a

“After that let’s see where we are and if we can get back in to contact with the top six.”
