Neil Harris has praised his squad for their recent run of form but admitted that Saturday’s visit of Blackburn will be ‘huge.’

The festive period was flawless for The Lions with three successive league wins and a 2-1 victory over Hull in the FA Cup third round.

The visit of Tony Mowbray’s side is live on Sky Sports and Harris believes it will deliver a good spectacle.

“It’s a huge game,” said Harris.

“Blackburn aren’t a million miles in front of us and they’ve had a really good campaign so far.

“I really enjoy watching them, really like the way they play. They’re direct but they have some really good footballers as well.

“It’ll be fast and furious and it’ll be a great one for the fans to see.”

“They were excellent last year, so far above the rest. Came in the champ and done well. Spent a lot of money in the summer which shows where they want to be as a club.”

Harris was confident ahead of the visit following a run which has seen them overcome their away-day hoodoo whilst registering three consecutive league wins for the first time this season.

“We’ve had some huge games over the Christmas period, the Reading game was massive and to get over the line was important.

“Then Forest is just a big occasion because they’re such a big club, we always have a big rivalry against forest.

“Then Ipswich which was their cup final, and Hull was important to carry momentum going.

“Blackburn will be a good ask for us, but the players have been outstand this week, there’s a buzz about the place.”

Kick off is at 5:30pm.
