Lee Bowyer will be left to sweat on the availability on two of his key men ahead of the weekend’s fixture against AFC Wimbledon.

Karlan Grant limped off with a hamstring injury and Lyle Taylor was seen wearing a protective boot following the 2-1 win at Portsmouth on Tuesday.

“Karlan is going for a scan today (Thursday) and Lyle has a big lump and bruise on his foot, so he is going for an x-ray to make sure there isn’t a break. They aren’t training at the moment,” said Bowyer.

There was better injury news for both Krystian Bielik and Mark Marshall who picked up knocks in the same fixture but they’re expected to be available for Saturday according to Bowyer.

“Krystian took a whack in the face and had a bit of a bloody nose but should be fine. Mark Marshall took a whack on Tuesday and could hardly move at the end but hopefully that will have settled down by Saturday.”

There was no further injury update on Darren Pratley, Lewis Page, Josh Cullen, Igor Vetokele, Jamie Ward and Jake Forster-Caskey.
