Charlton trio Lee Bowyer, Jason Pearce and Joe Aribo have capped a fine November for the Addicks by being put up for monthly awards.

Bowyer and Pearce are up for League One Manager and Player of the Month respectively, whilst Aribo is up for the PFA Bristol Street Motors Fans’ Player of the Month award.

The Addicks perfect November saw them win all four league outings, moving them in to the play-off spots.

It is the second month running Bowyer has been put up for the award following a September which saw his side take 13 points from 15. Coventry City’s Mark Robins took the top honour.

Charlton beat Doncaster Rovers, Walsall, Bristol Rovers and Burton Albion in the league last month and managed an FA Cup second-round replay win against Mansfield sandwiched in between.

Captain Pearce, 30, was an ever present during the four league fixtures and as well as only conceding two in those fixtures he scored the vital goal in the 2-1 away win at Burton.

Midfielder Aribo has received praise for his stellar performances in the opening part of the season. The 22-year-old has continued the form of last season and chipped in with two goals during October.

“This month has proven just how much he is improving as a player,” said Bowyer.

“He has been outstanding for us and he’s improving all the time. Hopefully he will get it.

“But if not, it will only be a matter of time before he does get an award like that."
