Josh Koroma has withdrawn from the England C squad for their upcoming fixture against Estonia’s Under-23s due to a knee injury.

The Leyton Orient forward missed Saturday's 2-0 win over Maidenhead United due to the same problem and head coach Justin Edinburgh confirmed that the 19-year-old would be assessed over the weekend to see whether he would be fit enough to link up with the England squad.

However, the Orient academy graduate hasn’t recovered in time for the clash and has withdrawn from the squad for tomorrow’s fixture at the Breyer Group Stadium.

Koroma has been in excellent form for the O’s this campaign, scoring three goals, and has proven himself to be of the finest young talents in the National League.

The 19-year-old academy graduate was prolific for the O’s during pre-season and his early season form prompted Orient to hand him a new two-year contract at Brisbane Road.

Koroma was replaced by James Alabi up front for Saturday’s game against Maidenhead and Edinburgh confirmed after the match that he doesn’t expect the versatile youngster to be out for too long.

With Koroma’s withdrawal, it means that Marvin Ekpiteta is the only Orient player left in the squad and he could make his England C debut tomorrow at Brisbane Road.

Tickets are priced at £5 for adults, while there will be free entry for Under-18s and over 65s for tomorrow’s game, which kicks off at 7:45pm.
