Well after hearing how the brand-new dessert shop in Petts Wood came into being, it’s hard not to. When manager Ravinder (Ravie) Kular chanced upon an empty venue one day she knew exactly what Petts Wood Highstreet needed it filled with, she describes it as being in ‘the right place at the right time’. But Petts Wood already has a myriad of eateries. Do we really need yet another? What does Fancies bring to Petts Wood that we don’t already have? The answer is: a lot.

A parent of two, and Petts Wood resident herself, Ravie knows all too well the importance of having a safe environment for children to meet and have fun by themselves, where their parents would feel comfortable. She decided to provide this herself. With friendly staff, seating designed for comfort (while still being aesthetically on point), competitive prices and lush décor, she has created an individual, fun, welcoming atmosphere that appeals to every demographic.
Moreover, they also host parties. For children's parties the assistant manager will dress up as Disney princesses or Marvel characters, going above and beyond.

Ravie has put a remarkable amount of thought into making Fancies an inclusive place, with vegan options, gluten free gelatos and sorbets, all kinds of milk, diabetes-friendly gelato and allergy-friendly options, she really has thought of everything to make this a place for everyone. There’s an outdoor seating area, and even one dog-friendly table (with free whipped cream for them) inside!

The address is 103a Queensway Petts Wood BR5 1DQ, so, when you have a moment, or are wondering what to do with your friends, kids, parents or just by yourself: head down to Fancies for some beyond a-grade desserts and a beyond a-grade experience.
