Police gathered to show their support for doctors, nurses and support staff at Kingston Hospital during the #clapforNHS effort last night (March 26).
As part of a nationwide salute to NHS workers on the frontlines against the Covid-19 coronavirus in the UK, available officers from Kingston and Richmond Met Police gathered to show their support.
All available #ERTA officers from @MPSKingston & @MPSRichmond have been to @KingstonHospNHS as part of #clapforNHS, to show our appreciation for all they and @Ldn_Ambulance are doing at this difficult time. #ThankYou also to the wider @NHSuk staff & all #keyworkers. #Covid19 pic.twitter.com/7RQr567m1I

Standing apart from each other, dozens of officers joined in the 8pm round of applause outside Kingston Hospital, while their assorted police vehicles flashed their blue lights.
They joined estimated millions of others across the UK clapping from their homes and places of work in a gesture of solidarity towards NHS staff, as a Kingston Police spokesperson described on Twitter:
"All available #ERTA officers from @MPSKingston and @MPSRichmond have been to @KingstonHospNHS as part of #clapforNHS, to show our appreciation for all they and @Ldn_Ambulance are doing at this difficult time. #ThankYou also to the wider @NHSuk staff & all #keyworkers. #Covid19."
Kingston Hospital responded with a message of thanks also posted to Twitter:
"Wow how awesome - #TeamKHFT is clapping you back. We couldn’t do what we do without you all @MPSKingston, @MPSRichmond, @Ldn_Ambulance and our colleagues in the community.
"Thank you to all #clapourcarers #clapforNHS."
