A REPORT investigating claims that the headmaster of a prestigious school took drugs has now been finished.

Governors at the Royal Grammar School, in High Wycombe, have received the document which was conducted by an independent investigation team and will look at the findings.

The investigation began in February after the publication of an article in The Daily Mail.

In the article, a woman claiming to be a former lover of headmaster Tim Dingle said that he snorted cocaine at parties and smoked cannabis he confiscated from pupils at the school.

Andrew Higginson, chairman of the Royal Grammar School's Board of Governors, said: "I have received the report from the independent investigation team and will carry out a full analysis of the findings.

"This process is ongoing and we are continuing to follow the recommended procedure of disciplinary action.

"Mr Dingle is still being asked to stay away from the school while we do this."

Mr Dingle strenuously denied the allegations in a statement published on the school's website.
