The Head of a Northolt school has praised his pupils for rekindling the true spirit of Christmas.
Sixth formers from Northolt High School organised a party for senior citizens last Thursday treating them to a traditional Christmas dinner and seasonal activities for the evening.
More than 100 pensioners turned out to take part in competitive games of bingo, and to listen to carols sung by pupil at the school, who put on the party as part of their service to the community.
Chris Modi, the headteacher, said: “ We hear so much about the generation gap these days.
“This event is all about bringing the generations together and showing how strong our community here in Northolt is.”
