A TEENAGER has died after he and two other men were shot outside a nightclub in south London.

Jamail Newton, of south-west London, was shot a number of times when two groups of black men clashed outside Aristocrats nightclub in Camberwell Green in the early hours of this morning.

The 19-year-old later died at a south London hospital, he has yet to be formally identified and his family has not been informed of his death.

At 2.09am, police were called to reports of a disturbance between two groups of men outside the club.

As the officers made their way to the scene, they received further 999 calls about a fire in a bin at the back of the club and fireworks being thrown into the club.

Police were searching the area for those involved in the earlier incidents when at 2.22am shots were fired outside the club.

Police found the teenager collapsed outside the club. He was taken to hospital, where he was fighting for his life this morning.

Later, two other black men arrived at the hospital with gun shot wounds.

One of the men has been discharged, while the other is not suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Detectives from Operation Trident, which investigates black gun crime in London, have launched a murder enquiry.

A search of the area continues today. No one has been arrested over the shooting.
