If you have ever thought of yourself as a bit of a princess then here is your chance to prove it.

Together with the organisers of this year's Pentland Finchley Carnival, the Hendon Times Group is looking for three very special ladies to take on the roles of carnival queen and two princesses.

The chosen three will lead the first carnival procession of the Millennium as it winds it way through the streets of Finchley on Saturday July 15. The winners have various duties at the carnival itself in Victoria Park, Ballards Lane, from July 12 to 15.

This year's carnival ,, the 99th ,, holds the usual promise of a schedule packed with fun.

If you fancy yourself as queen you must be aged 16 and over while the princesses should be aged between eight and 12-years-old. The winners of the competition will be expected to attend throughout the carnival and there may be other duties later in the year, like carol singing with the Mayor of Barnet.

As official sponsors of the carnival queen and princess competition, the Times Group will be offering a £100 prize to the queen and £50 to each of the princesses.

To be considered for the roles simply find a good, clear photograph of yourself, complete the coupon below and post it to us at: The Hendon Times Group, 71 Church Road, Hendon, London, NW4 4DN.
