POLICE have appealed for help to identify a man who went into a woman's bedroom and indencently exposed himself.

The incident happened in Oxford Road, Ealing, on Tuesday, July 18, when the weather was particularly hot. The 30-year-old victim was watching TV in her bedroom and had left a set of patio style windows open. She left the room, leaving the windows open, at appoximately 12.20am and went to the kitchen to make herself a drink.

When she returned a couple of minutes late she was confronted by a naked man standing in her bedroom.

The victim screamed and demanded the suspect left her home. She continued to scream in the hope that a neighbour may hear. The suspect slowly moved backwards and walked out of the open patio doors. He then bent down, picked his clothes up from the ground outside the patio doors, got dressed and walked off out of sight.

Detective Constable Sam O'Callaghan, of Ealing Borough Police, said: "This was a very frightening couple of minutes for the victim. We must stress that this type of incident is very rare in Ealing. However, we are treating this incident very seriously and are anxious to trace the offender."

The suspect was in his late 20s to early 30s, with dark olive skin. He is believed to be of mixed race with a muscular, athletic build, 5ft 8" to 5ft 10" tall with shaven dark hair with a receding hair line, dark coloured eyebrows, black stubble and an angular-shaped face.

He spoke with a flat to mid range voice with a London accent. When he left the scene, he was wearing a blue t-shirt and red shorts.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the man around the area before or since the incident to contact Ealing Borough Police CID on 020 82461139, quoting crime reference 2523552/06, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
