Twenty unexplained flying objects were spotted in the skies above Epsom at the weekend.
Peter Collins, 69, of Albert Road, a retired fitter for petroleaum a research company at BP spotted the strange noiseless lights at about 11.40pm on Saturday night, July 16 and insists they were not Chinese lanterns.
He and his wife both saw the lights from their bedroom window and said they were travelling across the sky in a North Easterly direction.
He said: "I was in the bedroom and I saw them coming across.
"There were five initially spaced apart and then another three in a line and then odd ones coming up.
"I think there must have been about 20, but I can’t believe what I saw.
"I have never seen anything like it in my life and they were definitely not Chinese lanterns.
"I though no-ones going to believe me.
"I cant think what it could be."
