The case of Wayne Hurren has been thrown out on the order of an Old Bailey judge, writes Laura Benjamin.
Mr Hurren, 37, was accused of murder, conspiracy to murder and soliciting another person to commit murder in a trial last week. But Judge Gerald Gordon ordered the jury to find him not guilty on Friday after the defence argued there was no case to answer.
It was alleged that Hurren had organised the killing of David Foley of Golders Green Road, Golders Green, from a telephone in Parkhurst prison in 1994.
