THE ambulance service covering the district will bring in four-wheel drives to cope with the snow and icy weather.
The East of England Ambulance Trust will bring in an extra 20 4x4s to help reach patients in hard-to-reach villages and houses.
A spokesman for the service, Oskan Edwardson, said people should be patient and some may receive advice over the phone instead of being visited by a paramedic.
Snow is forecast to continue in the east of England throughout the day.
