A MURDERED teenager’s parents have spoken of their loss after he was shot in a house in Greenwich.

Emergency services were called to Park Mews, Calvert Road, after a neighbour heard a gunshot shortly after 2am on Friday (April 23).

Charlie Wright, a student from Eltham, had been shot in the face and was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement the 17-year-old’s parents Lisa and John Wright said: "As a family we are absolutely devastated by the loss of Charlie.

“He was caring, funny and had the biggest of hearts.

“Charlie was studying to be a carpenter at Lewisham College and had his whole life ahead of him.

“We have so many wonderful memories to treasure.

“Our son was simply the best.

“We will all miss him terribly"

"We ask that anyone with any information in relation to the death of our son to contact the police immediately."

Two women, aged 46 and 36, a 17-year-old boy, and two men, aged 27 and 20, have been arrested in connection with the murder.

They have all been bailed to return to a south London police station on various dates next month. Anyone with information should call the incident room on 020 8721 4906 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
