Motorists will have a less than happy New Year when three months of roadworks are due to start at Fiveways Corner in Mill Hill.
The Highways Agency reckons it can prevent at least eight accidents a year by re-aligning carriageways at the busy junction of the A41 and A1.
It says new traffic lights will make the junction safer after temporary signals introduced last October reduced accidents. An exhibition opens tomorrow and runs until Sunday at Copthall in Page Street, Mill Hill. Opening times are 11am-8pm tomorrow, 10am-6pm on Saturday and 10am-3pm on Sunday.
