CCTV cameras caught the suspected killer of Soho hostess Camille Gordon as he fled the scene of the attack, Scotland Yard has revealed.
Grainy images of a man running from the Blue Bunny Club on Archer Street in London's West End could help police track the 23-year-old's killer.
A week after Camille was murdered while working at the club, police have released the images, and those of passers-by around the time of the attack at 7pm last Monday.
Camille Gordon was sitting in the doorway of the club, when a man approached her shortly after 6.20 pm.
He paid a £5 entrance fee, was shown downstairs and spent about 10 minutes with Camille in the club.
Before leaving at about 6.35pm he was given a bill for £375, and became involved in a dispute over it with staff. He had about £90 with him, and it was agreed he could pay £80.
At about 7.10pm Camille Gordon was once again sitting in the doorway of the club when a man was seen to enter and assault her. She managed to struggle downstairs where she collapsed.
She had been stabbed in the chest.
She was taken to University College Hospital where she died at around 8.25pm. A Post Mortem at St Pancras Mortuary on 3rd March gave cause of death as a single wound to the heart.
Camille's sister today said her murderer had taken "a piece of soul" from everyone who knew and loved her.
"Camille was my sister and my best friend. She was my other half. A person who I could call on for anything, it was never a bother," she said.
"She was always there for me, when I was happy or when I was sad, or if I just needed someone to talk to. She was a part of me, she was my soul.
