A 37-year-old man has been jailed for five-and-a-half years after stabbing a waiter in a restaurant.
Russell Parkin, of Madan Road, Westerham, assaulted the 31-year-old waiter at La Rioja Spanish restaurant in West Wickham High Street on July 4 last year.
The victim was taken to the Princess Royal University Hospital in Farnborough with a stab wound to the shoulder and discharged the next day.
Croydon Crown Court heard unemployed Parkin had tried to buy alcohol from the restaurant earlier on the day of the attack but was refused because it was closed.
The door to the restaurant had been open due to building works.
A heated row broke out before Parkin left, only to return two hours later to stab the victim.
Parkin pleaded guilty to wounding with intent to do GBH.
