Detectives have posted a £7,500 reward for information on the year anniversary of the murder of Jonathan McMurray.
Metropolitan Police have offered the money in a bid to catch the 20-year-old’s killer.
Despite eight arrests in the case no-one has ever been convicted of the student’s murder.
Police found Jonathon with stab wounds when they were called to a property in Gladstone Avenue at 11.40pm on July 17.
He was taken to North Middlesex Hospital where he died at 1.30am on Thursday July 18, 2002.
On the night he was stabbed Jonathan had been drinking with some friends at the JD Wetherspoon pub in Wood Green High Road.
He left with two male friends and an argument developed shortly afterwards with two other men.
Both the victim and suspect were joined by more of their friends until the group of men numbered between 10 and 15.
There was a short pursuit and a fight, during which Jonathan was stabbed in the stomach, a Scotland Yard spokesman said.
All those involved in the fight were black and aged in their teens or early 20s. The victim was of mixed race.
It is believed around 20 people witnessed the events of that night but not all have come forward, a Scotland Yard spokesman said.
Detective Chief Inspector Bryan Sweeting, from the Specialist Crime Directorate East, said: "We know there were a lot of witnesses to the events which led to the death of Jonathan McMurray but so far they have not all come forward.
"We are looking for anyone who has not yet contacted us to do so as soon as possible as well as anyone who can give us information that may assist the murder enquiry.
"We are hoping the offer of this substantial reward may further encourage people to help."
Anyone who can help can contact the incident room on 020 8345 3865 or if you wish to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
