The following cases were heard at Bromley and Bexley Magistrates’ Courts on Tuesday, September 10, 2024:
OMURUYI OGIE, 62, of Lewisham Way in Lewisham, admitted assault by beating against a woman on March 19. Ogie was given a one year community order with 150 hours of unpaid work as magistrates noted that he is a ‘persistent offender’.
LAWRENCE MICHAEL GOWERS, 42, of Longleigh Lane in Bexleyheath, admitted stealing meat and fish worth £76 form Co-op in Bexleyheath on April 21. Gower was ordered to pay the value back in compensation.
STEWART BROWN, 59, of Pine Tree Way in Ladywell, admitted possessing a Rambo knife in public on July 16. Brown was given a two-year conditional discharge and the knife was confiscated.
WAYNE CARDON, 41, of no fixed abode in Bexley, admitted vehicle interference with the intention of theft in Woolwich on August 7. Cardon was jailed for six weeks.
MARTYN GANDER, 44, of Rochester Road in Burham, admitted drug driving in Chislehurst on April 18. Gander was fined £200 and banned from driving for a year.
