An armed robber who pointed a gun at a newsagent worker’s head has been given a further prison sentence for drug driving. 

Danny Lee, 43, stuck up a newsagents on Shawbrooke Road in Eltham on December 10 last year, demanding that a man working alone behind the desk hand over money. 

CCTV footage showed Lee pointing the gun at the victim’s head and assaulting him with the butt of the gun several times, causing minor injuries to his head. 

Lee stole an iPhone from the counter and a Samsung phone from the victim’s inside jacket pocket before leaving the scene on a bike, holding the cash shop drawer. 

On April 19, Lee was given a six year and four month prison sentence by a judge at Woolwich Crown Court. 

On Friday (May 10) Lee appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court to face separate charges relating to an incident on November 12 last year. 

Lee had been driving Subaru Levorg car on Woolacombe Road in Kidbrooke when he failed to stop for a police officer.  

He was later found to be unfit to drive through drugs.

Lee pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified, driving without due care and attention, failing to stop for a police constable and driving whilst unfit through drugs. 

He was handed a 3 years and 11 month driving disqualification. 

Lee was also given a further 9 week prison sentence.
