No matter how old you are, everyone loves shopping. The idea of buying yourself, or someone else, a gift makes people excited, because for many of us, shopping is a fun activity. Shops are organized and pretty, and filled with wonderful things that maybe you don’t need, but you convince yourself that you do - or that it will look stunning in a room, or you would just love to have it with you all the time.

But the real, time-saving question is: Where is the best Shopping Centre in London? There are thousands of shops all around London, countless High Streets and a handful of markets, but which one is the best? This is a very important question as it can save time rather than going to different high streets and shopping centres and never finding what you want because you are not looking in the right place. However, the answer to this question can vary for everyone. For some, the best, or their favourite, is simply the one closest to them, the one that they have grown up near, and the place where they get their grocery shopping and buy last minute presents. For others, who don’t mind the commute, they prefer to go closer towards the city, maybe to Covent Garden or Oxford Street. My sister, Amelie Hardy, said ‘I love shopping because it gives me time to spend with my friends, no matter where we go.’ There are also many, many people out there who love spending their weekend traveling to Westfields.

However, it is also important to enjoy shopping somewhere that is near and convenient to you. Since I go to Wimbledon every day for school, the Wimbledon Quarter is easily the most convenient shopping centre for me to go to. Since they have made some changes and developments I have not been much but I decided that I wanted to find out more about other people’s opinions on the changes that they have made. In the last year, the Wimbledon Quarter has opened the boardroom (an indoor climbing space), the golf groove, and Third Space (a London Luxury health club). When asking my friends what they thought, one of them, Olive Molyneux said this about the Boardroom ‘it’s a really great place to climb with great facilities, very clean and great walls, it’s a really fun activity.’ When asking some older family friends about the new changes to the area they commented - ‘It’s good to see that there have been new businesses moving in but needs more different types of shops to be able to attract a wider range of people’. All of the people I have asked agreed that it is a good idea to go and experience the atmosphere of the new Wimbledon Quarter at least once, so I look forward to having a go at some climbing with my friends very soon.
