Hampton Court Palace is a site of rich British history, being the home of the famed King Henry VIII. The king's palace showed off the lavish lifestyle that he lived, boasting magnificent art pieces and grand banquet halls. One part of the palace that still burst with life is the garden grounds, which has one of the marvellous displays in all of England.

Every spring, in the middle and later dates of April, the tulips planted in the palace gardens bloom for all to watch. There are over 100,000 tulips across 60 acres of land, blossoming in a wide variety of colours. This is a tradition that has been kept up for hundreds of years in the palace, and is a sight to behold each year.

The palace hosts also provide multiple activities to be done alongside the flower watching. One of these are 'tulip talks', where detailed information is given about tulips, including the history of them and their English history, as well as their significance to previous monarchs, such as the 'Prince of Orange' William III, and Queen Mary II. Another activity provided are tulip embroidery classes, learning different stitching techniques to create fantastic embroidery pieces.
