Wilson’s School hosted its Spring Concert on the 24th March, as a part of the termly concerts that the school is accustomed to organising. The Spring Concert actually found itself at the start of the summer term, due in part to the Chamber Concert somewhat taking its place.

As usual, the evening saw a number of incredible performances. The show opened with Wilson’s School Symphony Orchestra - a noticeable change, with WSSO usually being the spectacular finale - but made no less of an impact. Concerts here are known for involving a massive number of musical talents from across the school, both older and younger students, of all abilities. As a result, both Middle School Wind Band and Senior Wind Band, for example, performed.

Senior Wind Band appeared to be a particular hit this evening, performing an energetic arrangement of 80s hits to finish off the first half in style. After a short interval, the Wilson’s School Choir took to the stage, opening the second half with two hits from the movie ‘Barbie’. Junior Choir, composed of mostly Year Seven and Eight students, performed “Dance the Night”, and Cambiata, primarily made up of older students, performed “I’m Just Ken”, aided by a few talented instrumentalists.

The concert yielded its usual high number of performers and large audience, with a near full hall. Based on the night’s events, and those of past concerts, the Summer Concert looks to hold promise too.
