Two people were taken to hospital after a stabbing opposite an Overground station.

Kilburn High Road is currently shut off today (April 25) after reports of a stabbing near Kilburn High Road Overground station.

Emergency services were called just after 12pm and the first paramedic arrived at the scene in less than five minutes.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: “We treated two people at the scene. We took one patient to a major trauma centre and one patient to hospital.”

A woman, in her 20s, was found with stab wounds and her condition is not life threatening.

A man in his 50s was later found with slash wounds to the hand, his condition is also not life threatening.

A 21-year old man has been arrested on suspicion for possession of an offensive weapon and GBH. He has been taken to hospital before being taken into custody.

Police taped off a section near The Old Bell pub – with multiple emergency vehicles in the area.

Kilburn High Road was closed both ways between Belsize Road and Cambridge Avenue.

There was also congestion to Kilburn Park Road northbound, back to Willesden Lane southbound.

But the road has since reopened.

Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances. Anyone with information is asked to come forward to police stating CAD2883/25APRIL.
